Occasionally, Mother Nature surprises us with an adorable dog that appears to be a product of imagination and ancient genes. Chief, the Chow Chow, is a perfect example of this. His appearance resembles a large, fluffy serving of cookies and cream ice cream, complete with mesmerizing blue eyes!
Meet Chief, a lovable 4-month-old Chow Chow who is the apple of his dog mom’s eye, Sara Hamilton. With his adorable black and white fur, Sara affectionately calls him “Oreo Cloud” as he reminds her of the popular ice cream dessert, Oreo McFlurry.
According to my mom, Chief’s unique coat colors are a result of him being a merle chow. Merle is a specific genetic pattern found in dogs that can produce an array of colors and patterns, resulting in a speckled or spotted appearance like Chief’s “cookies and cream” coat.
According to Sara, Chief is a purebred Chow Chow who comes from a long line of purebred ancestors. His unique coloring may have resulted from a genetic anomaly or the introduction of a mixed breed into his lineage many generations ago.
Regardless of how he acquired his name, this pooch is absolutely charming and as delightful as the dessert he shares it with. His cuteness is truly unmatched. According to his mother, he also has an equally lovable personality, and she has intentions to have him certified as a therapy dog in the future.
At the moment, he may be a tiny puppy, but in due time, he will reach a weight of approximately 85 pounds. Undoubtedly, he will bring much comfort to those he assists in the future with his fluffy fur and adorable demeanor.
Residing in sunny California, Chief is a furry friend who adores being pampered with baths, grooming, and receiving belly rubs from his human companions. He also loves to take naps alongside his humans, making him an absolute sweetheart of a dog. With his unique and adorable features, Chief is undoubtedly one-of-a-kind, and you won’t find another like him. Do share his cuteness with your loved ones and friends while treating him to some delicious ice-cream.
